Blessings: Goodness and Justice in the Aftermath of Tragedy

[one_half]Beloved, I call your spirit to attention. Being made in the image of God, you are created to love truth. You desire truth and you seek it. I am excited to speak to you today about the truth of God’s Goodness and Justice.

Beloved, hear the Word of the Lord for you.

He has shown you, O man, what is good;

And what does the Lord require of you

But to do justly,

To love mercy,

And to walk humbly with your God?

Micah 6:8 (NKJV)

Beloved, scripture shows us that God has shown us what is Good by doing justly. This Hebrew word for “justly” also includes the definition of “justice.” Justice is the natural process to the evil that is done in this world. In John 10:10, Jesus said the thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy, but He comes to give abundant life. When Satan steals, kills or destroys something, the natural course of action is Justice. Just as in the natural realm, Justice is carried out in our courts. Restoration and restitution is part of Justice.

Beloved, when God brings about Justice when evil is accomplished, it doesn’t mean the evil committed was God’s will. When something bad occurs, Justice is supposed to follow. Sometimes God initiates bringing about Justice, restoration and restitution. Other times, Justice, restoration and restitution results from our presenting a legal case asking for it from the Father.

Beloved, there are many times when you’ve heard about a tragic death of a Christian and as a result of that, many people were saved. Without an understanding of the Justice of God, many times this scenario is misunderstood, and is explained from the perspective that the death or tragedy that occurred was the will of God. [one_half_last]Romans 8:28 promises that all things work together for good according to those who are called according to His purposes, and good things resulting from bad things happening are not indicators that the evil that befalls us is the will of God or in the will of God. Good resulting from evil is evidence of God’s Justice, restoration and restitution that is rooted in His nature of Goodness. Believing God is Good and juxtaposing it along with believing it’s the will of God when tragedy strikes and good results are incompatible with each other.

Beloved, I bless you with the truth that God’s Goodness exacts Justice on the stealing, killing and destroying brought about by Satan and his kingdom of darkness. I bless you to know that out of tragedy, Justice springs forth. I encourage you to seek the Father and to ask Him to reveal the things in your life and generations that were stolen, killed and destroyed. I encourage you to submit those as legal petitions to God as the Judge and ask Him for Justice, restoration and restitution.

Beloved, I also encourage you to seek the face of the Father to know more about the connection of His Goodness and Justice for you, as well as, for others.

Beloved, I bless you with the comfort from the aligning of the Word of God, the nature and character of God of His Goodness, and the connection of Justice when evil occurs. I bless you to have an understanding of this so that you can know the Goodness of God for you. I bless you in the understanding of this so you are able to effectively minister to others when tragedy hits. I bless you, in Jesus’ name.
