Covenant & Government #12

Our focus this week for repentance of breaking covenant with the Lord in the area of government comes from Scriptures that pertain to nations.

Repentance & Replacement

As a member of the Royal Priesthood, please repent for breaking covenant with the Lord on behalf of yourself, your generations and your nation for the following and replace with statements in italics:

  • being a sinful nation (Is 1:4)
  • being laden with iniquity (Is 1:4)
  • being a brood of evil doers (Is 1:4)
  • being corrupt children (Is 1:4)
  • forsaking the Lord (Is 1:4)
  • turning away backward from the Lord, the Holy One of Israel (Is 1:4)
    • being a righteous nation (Is 1:4)
    • being righteous in order to be exalted as a nation (Prov 14:34)
    • being a righteous nation, which keeps the truth in order to enter the gates of the city of strength in the land of Judah in that day (Is 26:1-2)
    • For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength” (Isaiah 30:15).
    • being children of the Lord who practice righteousness (1 John 3:7; 1 john 3:10)
    • seeking the Lord of Hosts as a nation (Zech 8:22)
    • praying to the Lord as a nation (Zech 8:22)
  • being a multitude of many people who make noise like the roar of the seas (Is 17:12-13)
  • being a rushing nation that makes a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters (Is 17:12-13)
    • returning and resting in the Lord as a nation (Is 30:15)
    • having quietness and confidence as your strength (Is 30:15)
    • being still before the Lord (Ps 46:10)
    • knowing the Lord is God (Ps 46:10)
    • exalting God among the nations (Ps 46:10)
  • being a nation who changed its gods to those which are not gods (Jer 2:11)
  • changing the glory as the people of the Lord for what does not profit (Jer 2:11)
    • returning to Lord God, the Holy One of Israel and resting in Him (Is 30:15)
    • being children of the Lord who practice righteousness (1 John 3:7; 1 john 3:10)
    • seeking the Lord of Hosts as a nation (Zech 8:22)
    • praying to the Lord as a nation (Zech 8:22)
    • seeking and worshipping the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, you Redeemer for it is He who teaches you to profit (Is 48:17)
  • not preparing as a nation to call Jerusalem The Throne of the Lord (Jer 3:17)
  • not preparing and looking forward as a nation to gathering to Jerusalem and the Throne of the Lord (Jer 3:17)
  • as a nation, following the dictates of their evil hearts (Jer 3:17)
    • preparing as a nation to call Jerusalem The Throne of the Lord (Jer 3:17)
    • preparing and looking forward as a nation to gathering to Jerusalem and The Throne of the Lord (Jer 3:17)
    • being a righteous nation (Is 1:4)

    • being a nation that receives correction (Jer 7:28)
    • being a nation where truth flourishes and flows from its mouth (Ps 119:43; Prov 8:7; Jer 7:28; Mal 2:6)
  • being a nation of adulterers (Jer 9:2, 9)
  • as a nation, being an assembly of treacherous men (Jer 9:2, 9)
  • as a nation, bending tongues for lies (Jer 9:3, 9)
  • as a nation, not being valiant for truth on the earth (Jer 9:3, 9)
  • as a nation, proceeding from evil to evil (Jer 9:3, 9)
  • as a nation, not knowing the Lord (Jer 9:3, 9)
  • as a nation, everyone being aware of their neighbor (Jer 9:4, 9)
  • as a nation, everyone not trusting any brother (Jer 9:4, 9)
  • every brother in the nation supplanting one another (Jer 9:4, 9)
  • every neighbor in the nation walking with slanderers (Jer 9:4, 9)
  • every neighbor in the nation deceiving their neighbor (Jer 9:5, 9)
  • every neighbor in the nation not speaking the truth (Jer 9:5, 9)
  • every neighbor in the nation having taught their tongue to speak lies (Jer 9:5, 9)
  • every neighbor in the nation wearying themselves to commit iniquity (Jer 9:5, 9)
  • dwelling as a nation in the midst of deceit (Jer 9:6, 9)
  • as a nation, refusing to know the Lord through deceit (Jer 9:6, 9)
  • as a nation, having a tongue shoot out like an arrow and speaking deceit (Jer 9:8-9)
  • as a nation, having a tongue that speaks peaceably to their neighbor with the mouth, but in their heart they lie in wait (Jer 9:8-9)
    • being a nation where truth flourishes and flows from its mouth (Ps 119:43; Prov 8:7; Jer 7:28; Mal 2:6)
    • allowing the Lord to refine and try you as a nation (Jer 9:7)
    • turning from evil as a nation in order for the Lord to relent of the disaster that He thought to bring upon it (Jer 18:8)
    • serving the Lord as a nation (Dan 7:14)
    • as a nation, doing unto others what you want done unto you (Luke 6:31)
    • as a nation, knowing the Truth and being set free by it (John 8:32)
    • as a nation, overcoming evil with good (Rom 12:21)
    • as a nation, not becoming weary of doing good (Gal 6:9)
