Families: Covenant Part 4

It is important that we keep covenant with the Lord in our families. The mercy of the Lord is on those who fear Him and He gives generational blessings to those who keep his covenant and follow His commandments. The family is the foundation and building block to our society and from there to our government. When the family is strong and keeps covenant with the Lord, then it flows from the families up to the government from there.

The previous three posts on the families and covenant involved repenting and replacing. Scripture is an important weapon of warfare. Here are scripture verses to declare over our individual families, the families of America and the families of Israel. In addition to declaring them over our families, please ask the Lord to help you live in the truth and reality of these verses.

It is written:
Psalm 103:17-18 (NKJV)
But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting
On those who fear Him,
And His righteousness to children’s children,
To such as keep His covenant,
And to those who remember His commandments to do them.

It is written: Deuteronomy 6:4-7 (NKJV)
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.”

It is written: Joshua 24:15 (NKJV)
“…Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve….But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

It is written: Psalm 103:17-18 (NKJV)
But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting
On those who fear Him,
And His righteousness to children’s children,
To such as keep His covenant,
And to those who remember His commandments to do them.

It is written: Proverbs 12:7 (NKJV)
The wicked are overthrown and are no more,
But the house of the righteous will stand.

It is written: Romans 8:16-17 (NKJV)
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
